In the 1800s the slopes were recognized for their potential and were planted to orchards. Today vineyards, which have replaced the fruit trees, yield superior grapes. Please don’t follow your GPS to come see us, it brings you up a very bumpy dirt road. Directions -Take to Harmony Church Road from Rt. 15S come past the first Wine Tours sign at Mt. Gilead Rd. and go to Loudoun Orchard Rd. Turn on Loudoun Orchard Rd. It is paved and winds it’s way up the mountain until it stops at Mt. Gilead(2.2 miles). Make sure you bear left when it splits with Shelburne Glebe Rd. Take a right turn and we are 1500 ft on the right. This route is paved all the way to our driveway.
